How ShowReady handles your information

This Privacy Policy explains what information ShowReady collects, how it is used, and the choices available to people who interact with the site.

1. What ShowReady does

ShowReady is a marketplace-style platform for pageant, prom, and eventwear. Users can browse listings, create seller accounts, build public seller profiles, upload listing media, send messages through ShowReady when signed in, and manage their listings through an account dashboard. ShowReady also includes an admin area used to review, edit, publish, moderate, and remove content when necessary. ShowReady is focused on serving the UK market, but some sellers may operate from outside the UK where their listings are intended for UK buyers.

2. Information we collect

ShowReady may collect and store account and profile information such as name, email address, sign-in details, password reset requests, seller display name, city or town, bio, Instagram handle, and profile photo if uploaded.

We may collect and store listing information including titles, descriptions, designer or label names, colours, sizes, condition, location, delivery options, pricing, rental details, and uploaded images or video.

If you use ShowReady messaging, we may store message content, attachments, message reports, moderation records, and message notification preferences.

We also collect technical and usage data needed to operate, secure, and improve the platform, such as IP address, user agent, referrer, visitor ID, session ID, page visits, listing views, and related operational or analytics data.

3. How we use information

We use information to create and manage accounts, seller profiles, and listings.

We use uploaded images, profile photos, and listing details to present content to visitors.

We use ShowReady messages, reports, moderation records, and attachments to operate inbox features, help users communicate on-platform, review complaints, and keep the service safer.

We use technical and engagement data to secure the service, understand site usage, and improve the platform.

We use administrative and authentication information to protect the management side of the site.

We use email addresses to send transactional messages such as password reset emails, message alerts, and account or listing-related notifications.

4. Public information

Some information is intended to be visible to visitors or other users. This can include listing details, listing media, seller display name, seller bio, seller city or town, Instagram handle if provided, and seller profile photo if uploaded. You should only upload information and content you are comfortable making public through the platform.

5. Third parties and service providers

ShowReady relies on third-party providers to operate the platform. At the time of writing, this includes Supabase for database, authentication, and storage services, Resend for transactional email delivery, and hosting or deployment providers used to run the site.

If you follow a link from ShowReady to a third-party service, that third party's own terms and privacy practices will apply to your use of that service.

6. Cookies, session data, and analytics

ShowReady uses cookies, session data, and related technical signals to support signed-in accounts, protect the admin area, operate messaging, and understand how the platform is used. We may log data such as IP address, user agent, referrer, visitor ID, session ID, and page or listing activity for analytics, security, and operational purposes.

7. Data retention

We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate ShowReady, maintain accounts, manage listings, provide messaging, investigate complaints, enforce platform rules, maintain records, or comply with legal obligations. Different categories of data may be kept for different periods depending on operational, security, moderation, or legal needs.

8. Account deletion and content removal

If you want your account, listings, profile content, or other submitted material removed, email getshowready@gmail.com.

We may remove or disconnect account profiles, listings, and associated sign-in access, subject to any information we need to retain for legitimate operational, safety, fraud-prevention, moderation, dispute, or legal reasons.

If you want content corrected, updated, or removed, contact us using the email address above and include enough information for us to identify the account or content in question.

9. Your rights and requests

Depending on where you are located, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or restriction of certain personal information. If you have questions about the information held in connection with ShowReady, or want to request an update or deletion, contact us atgetshowready@gmail.com.

10. International users

ShowReady is focused on the UK market. Sellers outside the UK may use the platform where their listings are intended for UK buyers. If you access or use ShowReady from outside the UK, you understand that your information may be processed in connection with operating a UK-focused service and through third-party providers used by ShowReady.

11. Policy updates

ShowReady may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as the platform changes. The current version published on this page will apply going forward.
